We’re passionate about beekeeping
Meet Michael
Honey bees and how they support our environment have fascinated me since I was a kid. I’ve raised bees for over thirty years in snowy upstate NY and now beautiful tropical south FL. I retired as a global technology engineering executive for IBM and keenly admire the engineering of honeybees in creating their hives. I am able now to partner with Stephanie to share this experience with a growing number of new beekeepers who seek to improve our environment.
With several years of experience in beekeeping, I wanted to create a program to help new beekeepers navigate the first steps of starting their own small backyard apiary. When I met Michael, our combined experiences and shared passion for honey bees inspired us to build a business centered on beekeeping education and honey bee removals.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Disaster Management from Florida International University (FIU) and also work in the airline industry with American Airlines. My professional and educational experiences complement my passion for preparedness, safety, environmental stewardship, and community education.
