BEEKEEPING CLASSES AND HIVE MAINTENANCE.
1) Intro To Beekeeping Course
Introductory Beekeeper lessons, hands-on, follow-up site inspection, teaching to learn about the health and vigor of the colony, best practices and timing to encourage honey production, offer educational materials and links : Recommend six months for new backyard beekeepers. a) First month: Two one-hour lessons at $120 each. Start 4-7 days after hive installation.
b) Second month onward: One hour lesson at $120, or two lessons monthly at $95 each.
c) Ask questions and get guidance from Miami Bee Experts anytime. Children are welcome.
OPTIONS: Introductory hands-on lessons for those interested in honeybees. A release form is needed. As of March 2023, you can buy a fully functioning 10-frame beehive with queen for $300, which helps with colony strength and honey production. After signing a liability release, we can set up the hive in your yard. We recommend using a sturdy hive stand and standard equipment like a bee suit, smoker, and hive tool. A setup fee of $85 applies. You must install any required 6' privacy screens. We will provide an application for Beekeeping Registration for your annual hive inspection with the Florida Department of Agriculture. If you prefer a different style, we offer a Comfort Hive Set; both hive types will be covered in your first lesson.

Honey extraction services and honey harvesting lessons. Prices on hourly basis.
Vacation maintenance services for your hive(s) while you are away. Prices for each hive $75.00
Requeening services as appropriate. Honeybee queens may be replaced every 2+ years. Prices on hourly basis.
Strongly recommend that you consider a second hive to improve your overall success allowing you to compare both hives, their performance and share their resources.
